"We began planning to sell our home in Lambs Grove, Iowa two years ago after purchasing a “retirement condo” out of state. The condo required renovation which consumed considerable time and energy. Once the remodeling was complete, we turned our attention to selling the place we had called home for 20+ years. That decision brought many thoughts and emotions: excitement about our new adventure, concern for the work we might need to do in preparing our house for sale, a little fear that no one would want to buy the house, uncertainty concerning pricing the house fairly and getting an amount we felt was just, and anxiety about selecting a real estate agent.
